Only if you’re in USA, you can follow the reports on active common cold and seasonal flu by the new application presented from Novartis through TheraFlu campaign, the new application can be free downloaded to Android, Blackberry and iPhone.

The WheresFlu app follows sickness incidence levels weekly and keeps track of the most top 5 affected cities in USA. The WheresFlu™ app will provide you with the result of your area or you can enter a zip code to an area you want to get information about.

Your average can be calculated as follows: It is considered low if the number of population affected is less than 5%,  moderate between 5-10% ,  high between 10-15%  and very high if more than 15% population affected.

WheresFlu™ measures weekly activity for cold and flu based upon real-time reports of symptoms from SDI FAN® (a source used by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). As the longest-running respiratory tracking program in the US, SDI FAN® covers illness levels in 135 regions across the country utilizing panel-member reporting along with patient-specific data. Advanced tracking uses illness status levels to predict change in the affected population for the nine US Census Regions.
